The first half of 2010 will be coming to an end today. I am guessing for those bride-to-be who are still looking for a wedding dress for your big day, you might want to start looking into the 2011 wedding trends.
Ruffles have been one of the biggest ways that designers have chosen to add volume and visual interest to their gowns in the last few seasons. Instead of ruffles, you will be seeing dresses either carrying the full blossoms or the very small sized ones. As femininity is a major influence on the 2011 collections, most of the 2011 wedding dress are designed with romantic fabrics like lace, organza and tulle. The oversized clusters of flower “Corsages” are primarily used as accents on waistlines or shoulders. Swarovski crystals will be found stitched into the center of tiny floral appliques, while larger crystals are used to embellish the entire gown, from neck to hem.
The asymmetric or one-shouldered wedding dress that’s all the rage in winter 2008 are in for the bridal fashion world but with a difference this season. Asymmetry will be more evident in other forms like the draping of bodice instead of necklines form.
